Acne is a much more common problem than people realize, but it’s not something that can’t be avoided or gotten rid of. Standing sweat can cause acne. Your skin may get dry when the weather is cold. You don’t want either of these things to happen.

Try ditching your makeup for a while, to help clear up your skin. The temptation to cover your blemishes with makeup should be ignored, as this can only clog your pores and make your breakouts worse. If you stay away from makeup it will clear up your pores.

Herbs that come from chamomile tea are a great cure for acne. After drinking your nice cup of tea, put the cool tea bag on the area affected. It should reduce the redness and swelling in the affected area.

If you change or launder your bed sheets more often, this, too, can have a preventative effect when it comes to acne. The oils from your face transfer to the bed linens and pillowcase. They can then transfer back onto your skin. Wash your bed sheets regularly to break this cycle.

Zinc is great for reducing acne. It slows down the formation of any free radicals that are under your skin. If you have cystic acne and want to reduce the bumps on your face, try taking a zinc supplement once a day to destroy your acne from the inside out.

Drink plenty of water to keep your skin hydrated, and reduce acne. It is a good idea to drink a lot of water each day. People should consume 6-8 glasses of water everyday. Pores can become clogged and additional breakouts can occur.

An important element to help you get rid of your acne is to drink plenty of water daily. If skin gets dehydrated, the dead cells are not shed and this can cause clogged pores. Pores which are clogged with oil and debris can develop into acne. If you drink enough water it helps to keep you skin hydrated and will allow you to shed dead skin effectively.
